My name is Jackie Powell and I'm an artist based in the Boston area, originally from Coconut Creek, Florida. I'm a multi-disciplinary illustrator, designer, and visdev artist, specializing in narrative environment and character art!
I primarily work digitally in Procreate and Photoshop, gouache, and ink. I dabble in clay and polymer sculpting, 3D sculpting, block printing, and even glassblowing! I love to experiment, challenge myself, and get my hands on every form of art-making possible.
My mission is to weave powerful and emotional narratives that resonate with people from all walks of life, to illustrate the beauty of the mundane, and to express what gives me joy.
I frequently work with themes of recovery, diving into what it looks like for people, for interpersonal relationships, and for environments to recover from traumatic events. Mental health and community are at the core of why I am an artist, and these values underlie all of my work, both as an artist and a member of the grander Boston community!
