My name is Jackie Powell and I'm an artist from Florida, and I'm currently based in Boston, Massachusetts. I'm a multi-disciplinary illustrator, designer, and visual development artist, specializing in 2D stylized environments and character art for games and animation!
Storytelling and community are the foundations of why I am an artist. These values guide me through every project that I work on, whether it is working on indie game projects, collaborating on animated films, or even just sketchbooking around Boston!
My overall mission is to weave emotional narratives that resonate with people from all walks of life, to illustrate the beauty of the mundane, and to express what gives me joy (especially cats). I frequently work with themes of recovery, as mental health is extremely important to me. My passion for art, community, storytelling, and recovery are all values that underlie my work, both as an artist and a member of the grander Boston community!
